PESHAWAR: According to News, the Shandur Polo Festival now offers travelers a helicopter safari experience, courtesy of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
According to information, Patronate Aviation and KP Culture and Tourism Authority work together to provide the helicopter safari service.
Zahid Khan, the chief minister’s advisor on tourism, opened the facility.
The helicopter safari packages provide amazing vistas of the meadows of Qaqlasht, the Lowari Tunnel, the Kalash Valley, Tirich Mir Peak, and Chitral Airport.
Among the packages are:
Package 1: Lowari Tunnel, Kalash Valley, and Chitral Airport
Package 2: Airport in Chitral, Treich Mir
Package 3: Qaqlasht Meadows, Treich Mir, and Chitral Airport

Shandur Polo Festival
One of the biggest celebrations in the nation, the free-style polo match between the teams of Chitral and Gilgit is held every July 7–9 on Shandur Top in Gizer District, Gilgit Baltistan. The competition dates back to 1936. Polo enthusiasts travel from all across the nation to attend the tournament, which is hosted at the highest polo ground in the globe.
Along with a plethora of other activities including trot fishing at local lakes and streams, horseback riding, mountaineering, hiking, and exploring characteristic of Northern Pakistani culture, the event also features folk music, dance, and a camping community put up at the Pass.
