LONDON: In separate lawsuits, online fast-fashion retailers Shein and Temu are preparing for a 2026 trial at London’s High Court. The rivals are allegedly engaging in anti-competitive behavior and copyright infringement.
Last year, Whaleco UK Limited, whose ultimate parent is Temu’s owner PDD Holdings, was sued by Shein in Britain for allegedly violating copyright regarding images of certain products that were posted on the Temu platform.
In response, Temu filed a complaint in February, claiming that Shein had violated British competition law by binding fast-fashion product suppliers to exclusive contracts. Temu disputes the claim, which is worth £4.2 million ($5.5 million).
