Sheryl Crow is pleading with Congress to “act now” on artificial intelligence in the music business and other domains.
The Grammy winner made it plain in a recent guest post for The Hollywood Reporter that she was “not a scientist,” but she is aware of the existential risk that technology may represent to artists.
“What I can say with certainty is that the human experience, which is composed of emotions that nothing programmed can ever experience, is what unites all humans on the planet,” wrote Crow. And it is that which has preserved our existence in our songs, paintings, stories, and hieroglyphics since the dawn of time.
