According to their website, the King County Regional Animal Services stated that “the zebra seemed to be in good condition despite her nearly week-long adventure in the woods.”
Last Sunday, Shug and her traveling companions were being transported to Montana from Washington State.
After the motorist pulled over close to North Bend, which is located roughly 30 miles (48 km) east of Seattle in the foothills of the Cascade mountains, the animals broke free.
The sight of them galloping through a rural neighborhood startled the locals.
After being besieged in a field, the other three creatures were apprehended swiftly, but Shug—who was originally known as Z—jumped a fence and vanished.
