Irfan Siddiqui, the head of the PMLN, has admitted that they made a mistake in their original assessment of the constitutional amendment, believing Maulana Fazlur Rehman would easily accept the suggested modifications.
He made it clear that the modification wouldn’t be made public until Maulana Fazlur Rehman was completely happy with its contents.
No date has been specified, according to Siddiqui, who also emphasized that the modification cannot be presented without Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s consent. He hoped that by the end of September, the issue could be settled.
Siddiqui claimed that the suggested alterations to the amendment’s content won’t likely differ greatly from the original draft. He explained that, save from a few small changes and clarifications, the current draft is nearly identical to the original.
