Known for her part in the Bridgerton series, Simone Ashley made her producing debut with the most recent romantic comedy, Picture This.
Simone said in an interview with People Magazine that the movie was inspired by her love of rom-coms from the 1990s.
“Anything with Julia Roberts, My Best Friend’s Wedding, The Other Woman, 10 Things I Hate About You, Bend It Like Beckham, and Bridget Jones were all classic rom-coms from the 1990s that I loved,” the actress remarked. I’m a hopeless romantic, of course.”
“I feel that romantic comedies provide people a place to believe that love is attainable. And when I watch them, I feel that way. Therefore, it was incredibly exciting for me to be a part of that genre,” Simone continued.
