Simu Liu has reflected on a career setback and disclosed the unexpected cause for his termination as an accountant.
On February 25, the 35-year-old actor discussed his previous career as an accountant on the Today show.
“I went to school for accounting and I spent eight months working as [an accountant], and then I got fired,” Liu said in response to Craig Melvin’s question about if his friends still seek him for tax assistance despite the fact that he is now an actor.
“So I’m like, ‘Yeah, you can absolutely have me do your taxes if you wanna go to jail for tax fraud,’” he continued in jest. I’d be glad to. They won’t be done right, though.
