KARACHI: According to The News on Sunday, Allah Dino, also known as Babal Khan Bhayo, has resigned from his position as Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s adviser following the failure of an attempted weapons smuggling attempt from Balochistan to Jacobabad by law enforcement.
In line with Bhayo’s statement from the previous day, he decided to step down from the position to enable an impartial and open investigation into Friday’s botched arms smuggling effort.
In addition, the official has asked that CM Shah accept his resignation effective immediately and launch an investigation into the situation.
This comes after a significant amount of weapons and ammunition was found by LEAs, including two submachine guns, two G-3 rifles, eighteen magazines, eleven hundred and eighteen 7-62 bore bullets, six hundred light machine gun bullets, and 200 bullets along with two cellphones and Rs2,500 from two vehicles including a double-cabin pickup truck and a police vehicle that was escorting it.
The police vehicle was sanctioned to the provincial adviser for his security and protocol, The News reported citing police sources.
