In addition to announcing plans to create a world-first model for formal and non-formal education and technical training at all levels, from school to university, the Sindh government has chosen to help the children of condemned inmates finish their education.
In a joint meeting, Sindh’s Minister of Education Syed Sardar Ali Shah and Minister for Prisons Ali Hassan Zardari discussed several measures to help the education of prisoners’ children.
Officials from the home department, Sindh Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA), as well as a social organization called “Paigham Pakistan” attended the conference, along with secretaries from schools, universities and boards, colleges, and IG Prisons.
“Paigham Pakistan” made recommendations about schooling during the meeting.
