Famous singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was stopped from boarding a plane at Dubai Airport, and as a result, the Dubai police took him into custody.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was brought by the authorities to the Bar Dubai police station.
Salman Ahmed, a well-known showbiz promoter and former manager of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, has filed a lawsuit against the actor in Dubai. Sources claimed that the artist hasn’t been legally detained, yet.
The artist reportedly traveled to Dubai to participate in a number of musical events.
The musician has, however, disputed being detained, asserting that he was called to respond to inquiries and that he made requests, which everyone might do.
Khan asserted, “I was not arrested, and no such incident occurred.”
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, according to music director Farooq Rao, is in Dubai and has not been detained. “Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is recording his songs in Dubai,” Rao stated.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) opened a money-laundering and tax evasion investigation into the well-known singer in January of this year after it was discovered that the performer earned over Rs8 billion for domestic and international performances over a 12-year period.
