Four of the cars of the Sir Syed Express train derailed in an accident that happened close to Rohri Station, although no deaths were recorded.
Railway officials say the incident happened in Sukkur on a train that was heading from Karachi to Punjab. The accident happened 1.5 kilometers from Rohri Railway Station, which resulted in the uptrack’s train services being suspended.
Because the train was approaching the platform more slowly, a more serious collision was avoided.
The Sir Syed Express was reportedly on its way from Karachi to Rawalpindi when authorities announced that a rescue effort had been launched to immediately fix the damaged track.
