Karachi: A religious-political party’s protest sit-ins against road closures and fatal tension in Parachinar, District Kurram, paralyzed portions of Karachi for the sixth day in a row on Sunday, with no immediate respite for commuters in sight.
For many residents, traveling has turned into a nightmare due to traffic jams in several locations, forcing commuters to take detours that worsen the situation on other thoroughfares.
More than eleven venues, including major thoroughfares, are hosting the protest demonstrations.
Numaish Chowrangi, Natha Khan bridge on Sharea Faisal, in front of KDA apartments in Surjani Town, Golimar, Power House Chowrangi, close to Safari Park on University, and other places are now the sites of protests.
