Police officers in Bajaur announce boycott of polio program in protest • Three security guys martyred in separate attacks in Bajaur and South Waziristan
BAJAUR / SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Six persons, including three security personnel, a polio worker and two laborers, lost their lives while 12 others were injured in three separate incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur and South Waziristan districts on Wednesday.
A polio vaccination team in Salarzai tehsil of Bajaur was ambushed by unidentified gunmen, resulting in the shooting deaths of a police officer and a polio worker. A security official was killed in a roadside explosion in a second incident in the Mamund tehsil of Bajaur.
A paramilitary soldier and two laborers were killed in shooting in the Angoor Adda district of Lower South Waziristan.
