Officials say the explosion happened next to the car of tribal leader Nawabzada Mehboob Khan Jogezai, who was eating lunch with companions in front of a store. “The explosion injured six people, including Mr. Jogezai,” a senior police officer stated.
The explosion injured a shopkeeper and other bystanders in addition to seriously damaging the car.
Police and other law enforcement officers arrived at the scene after the explosion and moved the injured to the district hospital.
Two patients who suffered various injuries were moved to the trauma center at Civil Hospital in Quetta, according to hospital officials.
Mehboob Khan Jogezai, Raz Muhammad, Mazullah, Sultan Muhammad, and Gulab Khan are the names of five of the six injured.
