Recently, Sofia Vergara talked about how she changed for the Griselda Netflix series.
The 51-year-old actress recently discussed her upcoming film on Griselda Blanco, the Colombian cocaine “queenpin” who founded one of the most successful cartels in history.
Sophia recently said, “I needed to disappear,” in an interview with E!News. In the 1970s and 1980s, it took place in Miami. For me, getting the look just right was crucial.
“One of the toughest aspects” of the play, according to director Andrés Baiz, was Sofia’s physical change. “What we decided was that she has to be different from Sofía, but we shouldn’t imitate Griselda Blanco,” Baiz said.
Her makeup artist Todd McIntosh and hairstylist Kelly Kline disclosed that she underwent five wigs to represent several times.
They also made her a nose job, prosthetic eyebrows, and false yellow teeth. Sofia went so far as to alter her posture to reflect Griselda’s aging throughout the series.
After Sofia’s makeover, no one could tell if it was her, said co-creator Eric Newman.
“She was Griselda by the time she stepped out of her cosmetics trailer. And for that reason, Sofia is just ideal,” he said.
