In order to give injured Wiaan Mulder more time to show his fitness, South Africa has called up all-rounder Corbin Bosch and uncapped seamer Kwena Maphaka for the pivotal two-Test home series against Pakistan, which begins in Pretoria on December 26.
Mulder will be covered by an enhanced 16-man team for the Pakistan games, which also includes 18-year-old fast bowler Kwena Maphaka, who has not yet received a cap.
“Corbin has been included in the mix. We’re eager to watch him advance to test cricket because of his versatility with the bat and the ball, which adds depth and his pace gives our attack more bite,” Conrad stated.
The 30-year-old Corbin is the son of Tertius Bosch, a former seamen who participated in South Africa’s.
