From October 1 to October 26, a major sports festival is set to take place in South Waziristan, which is being coordinated by the Pakistan Army and the Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa South. The purpose of the event is to get tribal youngsters involved in sports in addition to their academic endeavors.
There will be football, volleyball, and cricket competitions throughout the festival. 136 football teams, 97 volleyball teams, and 146 cricket teams from South Waziristan will compete. Ten different locations throughout the region will host matches.
The goal of this program is to encourage local youngsters to take up athletics again as an extracurricular activity in addition to their academic pursuits. Through these sporting events, the organizers seek to spread passion and good vibes.
