Gazala Gola was elected as deputy speaker of the Balochistan Assembly. They were both sworn in as speaker and deputy speaker of the Balochisan Assembly.
The deadline for submitting nomination papers for the speaker and deputy speaker has passed, since they were due by 12 noon.
According to the Assembly Secretary, save for Captain (rtd) Abdul Khaliq and Ghazala Gola, no member has yet received and submitted nomination papers.
“Scrutiny of submitted nomination papers has started and the success of speaker and deputy speaker will be announced in the meeting at 3 pm,” the secretary of the assembly told reporters.
Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif nominate Abdul Khaliq Azakzai following consultation with the PML-N’s provincial leadership.
