The Establishment of Special Court (Overseas Pakistanis Property) Bill, 2024, which requires special courts to decide matters within 90 days, was unanimously approved by the Senate on Thursday.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Minister for abroad Pakistanis and Human Resources Development, introduced a bill in the House to create special courts to handle complaints pertaining to abroad Pakistanis’ real estate. The Act is intended to help Pakistanis living abroad who have property-related concerns.
Speaking about the bill’s key components, Salik stated that the bill’s passage was prompted by strong demand from Pakistanis residing overseas. It would provide a safe online land purchase procedure for Pakistanis living abroad.
