Actor Lee Jung-jae of Squid Game has spoken out about the unexpected ending of season 2.
After losing his closest comrade, Jung-bae, in the deadly competition, the actor who plays Seong Gi-hun in the drama is devastated once more in season 2.
In an interview with Netflix’s Tudum, Lee discussed the conclusion and the actuality of The Front Man (Oh Young-il), saying, “I don’t think Gi-hun knows the truth.”
He further contended that the story’s protagonist, who is furious and holds himself responsible for everything that occurred, including Jung-bae’s murder, is unable to recognize the change from Young-il.
The 52-year-old actor also discussed the amount of suffering his character in the series may experience.
