The Oscar-winning filmmaker of the Prince documentary, Ezra Edelman, recently voiced his disapproval of Netflix and the late singer’s estate’s choice to abandon the project.
Edelman discussed the decision during his interview on the Pablo Torre Finds Out podcast, stating, “It’s a joke.”
According to new , the director, who was approached by Netflix in 2019 to make a movie about the Purple Rain hitmaker, said that he and the streamer would have the final cut, with Prince’s estate free to point out any factual inaccuracies.
“This is the one thing the estate was permitted to do: Look for factual errors in the movie.
