A press release from the State Bank states that due to a public holiday declared by the Pakistani government on May 1 (Wednesday), the SBP would be closed on this day.
The State Bank of Pakistan said in a statement that on May 1, all banks and financial institutions will be closed. The Pakistan Stock Exchange has also declared May 1 to be a public holiday, according to the notification.
