Benjamin O’Cone, a spokesman for the Bureau of Prisons, informed the news that Bannon, 70, was freed from a prison in Danbury, Connecticut, on Tuesday.
In 2022, Bannon, a conservative podcast host who played a significant role in Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, was found guilty on two charges of contempt of Congress for defying a congressional subpoena concerning an inquiry into the Capitol riot on January 6.
In his post-release podcast, Bannon stated, “The four months in federal prison not only didn’t break me, it empowered me.”
“I have never been more focused and energized in my entire life.”
He conducted a press conference on Tuesday.
With just one week until the 2024 presidential election, Bannon stated at a press conference he hosted on Tuesday afternoon that his main goal would be to mobilize voters in favor of Trump.
According to Bannon, we were poised for a spectacular triumph that might even turn out to be a landslide.
He also briefly discussed his experience in prison, stating that he was once offered the chance to instruct other prisoners in a civics and government course.
