KARACHI: Three dacoits have been shot dead by people in a series of incidents, suggesting that the city’s citizens have opted to take matters into their own hands in response to the widespread street crimes.
According to Central Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zeeshan Siddiqui, a citizen shot and killed two dacoits in the vicinity of the Matric Board Office in Nazimabad during an attempted heist.
The police official added that the bodies had been taken to the hospital and that weapons had been found on the dead criminals.
He stated that a case would be filed based on the citizen’s complaint and that the identification of the dacoits was being determined.
