According to a recent study, exercising on the weekends can have a surprisingly positive impact on a person’s mental and physical health.
According to a study that was published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, exercising just one or two days a week may improve mental health by lowering the chance of mild dementia, according to News.
Researchers discovered that the incidence of mild dementia is reduced by 15% for “weekend warriors,” or those who exercise on the weekends, compared to 10% for “regularly active,” or those who exercise daily or more.
The researchers concluded that if all middle-aged adults participated in the study, around 10% of occurrences of mild dementia would be eliminated.
