As the Patron of The Butler Trust, his sister Princess Anne organized a reception at London’s St. James Palace where King Charles showed up as a “surprise guest.”
According to a statement from the Buckingham Palace, King Charles and his sister Princess Anne attended a reception to meet the 40th Annual Butler Trust Award winners.
The monarch was mentioned as a surprise guest at the event in an Instagram post that was uploaded on the Royal Family account.
The Princess Royal and her second husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, reside in an apartment at St. James’s Palace in London.
“The Princess Royal gave out ten awards and twenty commendations to this year’s awardees during the Trust’s Annual Award Ceremony before the Reception began.
