Afnan, the primary defendant in a well-known vehicle collision case in Lahore’s Defense neighborhood, has been granted bail by the Lahore High Court.
The reserved ruling regarding Afnan’s bail plea was issued by a two-member court presided over by Justice Shehbaz Rizvi.
Afnan’s attorney contended throughout the hearing that the accusations made against his client were not supported by the investigation. He emphasized that the geofencing information gathered from the event did not locate the witnesses listed there, casting doubt on the veracity of their claims.
In addition, the defense cited Afnan’s age as a minor as stated in the investigation report and the lack of a clear link between the accusations against him and the testimony of the witnesses. The attorney argued that these elements justified Afnan’s release.
