According to THR, Sweeney will both produce and star in a brand-new thriller that is based on a Reddit short story that initially attracted attention.
The actress will change English instructor Joe Cote’s story, “I Pretended to Be a Missing Girl So I Could Rob Her Family,” went viral.
The narrative centers on a young woman who shows up at a home and introduces herself as the mother of a missing girl from a decade ago. She quickly learns, though, that she has made a grave error.
Interestingly, the movie is characterized as a psychological thriller in the vein of Gone Girl.
