The Chinese alert stated, “China launched a satellite that flew over the southern airspace.” “People, please watch out for your safety.” A version in English declared it to be a “missile flyover Taiwan airspace” and issued an “air raid alert.” Nevertheless, the Ministry of Defense later expressed regret for the error.
