To meet requirements established by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the federal government has extended the businessman-friendly program to 42 localities.
From six main cities, the program is currently present in 42 locations nationwide.
With the intention of improving trader registration and compliance, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has published a notification outlining the new Tajir Dost Special Services Rules 2024.
Abbottabad, Attock, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Chakwal, Dera Ismail Khan, Faisalabad, Ghotki, Gujarat, Gwadar, Hafizabad, Haripur, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Jhang, Jhelum, Karachi, Kasur, Khushab, Lahore, Larkana, Lasbela, Lodhran, Mandi Bahauddin, Mansehra, Mardan, Mirpurkhas, Multan, Nankana, Narowal, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Sukkur, and Toba Tek Singh are now included in the scheme.Under the system, registered traders will now have to pay an advance tax every month that might range from Rs100 to Rs1,000. The FBR will evaluate the fair market value of their stores in order to calculate the precise tax amount.
