The coalition government led by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will conclude its first year in power tomorrow (Wednesday) with numerous accomplishments on the diplomatic, economic, and international fronts, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said Tuesday, following the fact that Pakistan’s inflation rate had dropped to its lowest level since September 2015.
Tarar attacked the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the previous ruling party, at a press conference in Islamabad today, saying, “Those who were betting on [Pakistan’s] default are in turmoil today.”
According to the minister, tomorrow will mark the one-year anniversary of the PML-N-led coalition government.
Nearly four weeks after a tumultuous national election delayed the formation of a coalition government, Shehbaz Sharif took the oath of office to become prime minister for a second time on March 4.
