With the announcement of this year’s Grammy nominees, Beyonce and Taylor Swift have created Grammy history.
With 11 nominations this year, Beyonce is the most nominated artist in the history of the event.
Following her country CD, Cowboy Carter, being flatly rejected at this year’s County Music Association Awards, she became the most-nominated artist.
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour includes a performance at Wembley Stadium.
Swift, meantime, has surpassed Barbra Streisand, who previously shared six nominations with the Shake It Off star, with her seventh nomination in the album category for The Tortured Poets Department.
Swift’s song “Midnights” won the category last year.
Charli XCX, whose album Brat started a trend, was the next most nominated artist behind Beyonce.
