Emily Dickinson, a poet from the 19th century, may be linked to Taylor Swift.
Swift, 34, and Dickinson have a 17th-century relative in common.
“Swift and Dickinson both descend from a 17th century English immigrant (Swift’s 9th great-grandfather and Dickinson’s 6th great-grandfather who was an early settler of Windsor, Connecticut),” Ancestry.com stated to “TODAY.”
“Taylor Swift’s ancestors remained in Connecticut for six generations until her part of the family eventually settled in northwestern Pennsylvania, where they married into the Swift family line.”
When Adam Sandler compares Pop Star to the Beatles, he admits that Taylor Swift makes him nervous.
Swift once cited Emily Dickinson in an explanation of the three types of songwriting she believes her lyrics belong to: glitter gel pen lyrics, fountain pen lyrics, and quill lyrics.
