SYDNEY/LONDON: The renowned Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) hosted the 3rd SCG Multicultural Cup 2025, which brought together a variety of cricket players from all around Australia in a celebration of harmony and sportsmanship.
In order to highlight Australia’s diverse culture, community teams from Pakistan, Australia, India, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal participated in the competition.
Team Pakistan won their first-ever SCG Multicultural Cup victory in a thrilling final, becoming the tournament’s third-ever victors. “Events like the SCG Multicultural Cup demonstrate how cricket unites people from different backgrounds and celebrates Australia’s diversity through sport,” said Nick Hockley, CEO of Cricket Australia, who presented the trophy and applauded the tournament’s spirit.
