The owner of Williams Advanced Engineering is the frontrunner to acquire TeamSport, the go-karting track operator throughout all of Europe.
As far as News is aware, the company’s primary suitor is the London-based private equity firm EMK Capital.
It is anticipated to cost approximately £150 million.
Among the other buyout businesses that had shown interest in TeamSport were Livingbridge and 3i Group.
Former owner of Wagamama and one of the most well-known buyout firms in the UK, Duke Street is the owner of the go-karting group.
TeamSport competes in a £73 billion activities and attractions sector spread over three nations.
The potential to expand it to 200 sites in its current markets alone is claimed to have drawn in potential buyers.
The investment bank Harris Williams is in charge of the auction.
