Since the 2020 debut of Amazon Fresh, a physical store, the corporation has been modifying its approach.
It announced on Tuesday that it would discontinue Just Walk Out, its self-checkout system, from every shop.
The company reported that several hundred positions in sales, marketing, and worldwide services as well as a few hundred positions in its physical store technology team are affected by the most recent job layoffs.
“These decisions are difficult but necessary as we continue to invest, hire, and optimize resources to deliver innovation for our customers” , a representative for news stated.
