MIANWALI: On Monday, around a dozen terrorists attacked the Qabool Khel police check station in Mianwali, Punjab, resulting in at least two police officers being injured.
A police spokesperson stated that hand grenades and rockets were used by roughly 12 to 14 Khawarij to attack the check station.
The spokesman said that two police officers were hurt in the attack, but the terrorists were stopped from attacking when they were stopped by the Punjab Police.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Isa Khel, the district police officer for Mianwali, arrived at the checkpoint with a large contingent of officers after the incident.
In a riverine area of Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, last month, bandits assaulted police vans with rockets, resulting in at least 12 police officers being murdered and six more injured.
