Swat law enforcement organizations have discovered a new tactic used by terrorists to plan assaults on police personnel: they use the well-known online game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).
This conclusion comes in response to a terrorist attack on a police checkpost on August 28 that involved the use of a magnetic bomb and left one officer dead and two injured.
District police officer (DPO) for Swat, Dr. Zahidullah, stated that after apprehending three attackers, the police discovered that the terrorists had been communicating using PUBG, a method they were not aware of at the time.
“When we caught the terrorists, we first came to know that they were using the PUBG game for communication, which was new to us,” said Dr. Zahidullah.
