The 54-year-old novelist is well known for her critically acclaimed Shopaholic book series.
Kinsella, whose actual name is Madeleine Sophie Wickham, stated in a social media post that she has undergone “successful” surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment at University College Hospital in London.
She stated that she “wanted for a long time to share with you a health update and I’ve been waiting for the strength to do so” .
“At the end of 2022 I was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a form of aggressive brain cancer,” she explained. “I wanted to make sure my kids could hear and understand this, so I didn’t share it before.
