Despite protests from opponents and some members of their own parties, they have sounded a similar tune.
Joe Biden denounced what he described as an unfair conviction of his son as he announced a “full and unconditional” pardon for Hunter Biden on Sunday night.
“Hunter was singled out just because he is my son, and that is wrong,” Biden stated, adding that no sane person could ever conclude otherwise after considering the facts of Hunter’s cases.
The president’s complaints about a politicized legal system were similar to those Trump frequently makes, most notably in the case of Stormy Daniels, the adult film star, who received hush money payments in New York City. Former president Barack Obama was eventually found guilty of several felonies as a result of that indictment.
