RAWALPINDI: Sources inside the Adiala Prison revealed to Geo News on Saturday that the prohibition on visiting inmates has been lifted, enabling all meetings to continue on a regular basis.
Due to increased security concerns after a possible terrorist threat and subsequent drills at the plant, the limitation was first put into place on October 4.
Authorities at the Adiala jail, where Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is presently being held, had put a stop to all visits until October 25.
According to instructions from the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, was detained at this same facility until she was released on bail two days ago.
According to sources, now that the embargo has been lifted, all inmates—including well-known ones—may once more receive visits.
