Devajit Saikia, the recently elected secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), responded to media reports about Men in Blue’s longer formats captain Rohit Sharma’s trip to Pakistan before the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 by stating that the board had not been presented with any such proposal.
Earlier this month, Indian media claimed that Sharma, the captain of their national men’s team, would probably travel across the border for tournament-related events.
A press conference where captains will discuss their expectations for the tournament and an all-captains picture shoot are among the festivities.
All eight participating captains are expected to compete in the Champions Trophy, which is hosted by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
