In the 1950s, the American singer performed both on and off the Steve Allen TV show while sporting size 10.5 shoes.
He acquired the pair in 1956 after recording the hit song “Blue Suede Shoes,” written by fellow singer Carl Perkins, for his debut album.
Afterwards, the night before he was drafted into the US army in 1958, Presley donated the shoes.
The estimate for the footwear is between £100,000 and £120,000 when it goes up for sale at Wiltshire auctioneers Henry Aldridge & Son on Friday.
22-year acquaintance of Elvis Presley Jimmy Velvet, dubbed “the world’s leading Elvis authority” by the auction house, has verified the authenticity of the two.
Alan Fortas, a close friend of Presley’s, received the shoes from him and wrote a letter explaining how he obtained them.
He wrote: “Elvis held an all-night party at Graceland the night before he was inducted into the army in Memphis. We next visited the Rainbow roller rink.
Upon returning from the service, Elvis called a few of us upstairs and offered to part with some of his items that he didn’t believe he would wear or desire.
Elvis gave me these size 10.5 blue suede shoes that evening. These have been mine for the entire time.
