ISLAMABAD: According to The News on Monday, the body of a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officer who died under suspicious circumstances was found at a guest home.
According to police, the dead, who were discovered in a guest house in the city’s Sector G-6/4, which is within the jurisdiction of the Aabpara Police Station, have been identified as Grade-19 officer Waqas Ahmed.
After smashing down the door of the room, the body was found and taken into custody before being sent to the hospital for an autopsy.
The postmortem report will disclose the cause of death. The deceased’s family has not yet sent the police a formal request for additional action.
Ahmed, according to sources, was originally from Lahore and was the investigative officer in the Ogra case.
