Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Ali Amin Gandapur, expressed a desire to meet with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and the head of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) following repeated signals from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to end political stability.
Speaking to reporters in Rawalpindi on Monday following his meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, Chief Minister Gandapur stated that the former prime minister has consistently facilitated conversations.
He lamented that no one had reacted to Khan’s request for dialogue, noting that so far there had been no conversations with federal government agencies or organizations.
The KP chief executive reiterated the PTI’s demands for political negotiations, saying that the parameters will remain the same.
He went into depth about the previous ruling party’s demands for the creation of an investigation panel into the May 9 riots and the restoration of its pilfered mandate.
CM Gandapur stated, “I want to meet the DG ISI and the army chief.” He clarified that he had met the high-ranking military officials at various events and that they had not had a one-on-one meeting.
