ISLAMABAD: In honor of Pakistan Movement’s 77th Independence Day, a fresh commitment to transforming the nation into a truly Islamic welfare state is being made.
The federal capital opened the day with a 31-gun salute, while the provincial headquarters opened with a 21-gun salute. Mosques held special prayers for the nation’s prosperity, unity, and peace.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was present at the national flag-hoisting ceremony in Islamabad, which served as the centerpiece of the festivities. District, divisional, and provincial offices will also host celebrations akin to this.
