It has been announced by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) that income tax returns for the fiscal year 2023–2024 must be submitted by Monday at the latest.
The FBR claimed that it has already extended the deadline for filing returns until this month’s 14th in a statement released here.
The public, tax bar associations, and a number of trade associations made demands, and the decision was made to extend the deadline for filing income tax returns.
The FBR stated in a statement on October 1 that “all taxpayers are urged to file their income tax returns immediately to avoid penalties and legal action.”
The government asked affluent manufacturing enterprises’ chief financial officers and non-filers to pay their taxes and refrain from abusing input prices earlier this week.
