The greatest cryptocurrency heist in history, which involved the loss of $1.5 billion worth of digital assets last week, was attributed to North Korea by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday.
Last week, Bybit, a cryptocurrency exchange based in Dubai, said that it had been stolen of $400,000 worth of Ethereum.
The business claims that during a transaction, hackers took advantage of security procedures to move the assets to an undisclosed address.
The United States administration blamed Pyongyang on Wednesday.
In a public service announcement, the FBI stated that “North Korea was responsible for the theft of approximately $1.5 billion USD in virtual assets from cryptocurrency exchange, Bybit.”
