ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) declared the commencement of a statewide “massive crackdown” on electricity and gas theft.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi vowed that there would be no prejudice throughout the campaign, and that all those culpable would face prison time.
“This proactive initiative aims to curb the rampant theft of essential utilities, ensuring fair distribution and access for all citizens,” Naqvi said in a post on the social networking platform, X, after chairing a meeting on the topic.

According to Geo News, at the meeting led by Naqvi, special teams were formed to commence a crackdown on energy and gas thieves.
Naqvi has assigned a specific job to the FIA in this regard.
He urged the investigation agency to pursue strict legal action against individuals responsible for energy and gas theft.
