As Pakistan’s first university to provide classes in the metaverse, Information Technology University will now provide students taking online courses with the same level of participation as they would in a traditional educational setting.
Students and teachers could be in any city or nation; all they need to do is put on a virtual reality headset and they’ll be transported to class. The teacher will be provided with a projector and a board.
In the metaverse, pupils’ movements may be felt in addition to their questions and responses. Students claim that the virtual classroom is so close to life that it has made it easier to absorb the curriculum.
Ibrahim Ghaznavi, Head of the Department of Computer Sciences, claims that this initiative will save electricity while simultaneously improving students’ academic abilities.
He stated that when online lessons began following Covid-19, it was vital to improve the facility since students did not grasp online classes and the class was not relevant to reality. As part of the pilot project, the university reached an agreement with the University of Denmark.
